Family and Self Defense
FYR Team exists to teach men how to step into their God-given roles. Currently we are focusing on your God given role as protectors and leaders of your families. In Genesis 2:15, God placed Adam in the garden “to work it and to keep it”—a calling not just to provide, but to guard. Too many men today leave their wives and children exposed spiritually, physically, and emotionally. FYR Team equips you with the tools to stand watch over your home, to set boundaries, to fight back against the enemy’s lies, and to raise kids who are secure in both faith and their ability to address any threat. It’s time to stop standing on the sidelines and start living out the calling God gave you as a man.
Guarding Your Family Spiritually
As a husband and father, your first line of defense is protecting what enters your family’s hearts and minds. Today’s world is flooded with influences—TV, social media, YouTube, texting, music, gaming, and even AI chat bots—that can easily undermine your family’s values. If you’re not actively guarding these inputs, you’re leaving your wife and children vulnerable to deception and lies. Clear boundaries, consistent conversations (especially about sex), and setting real consequences help ensure your kids hear truth from you—not the world. FYR Team will give you practical skills and checklists that you can use ensure you are guarding your family spiritually.
Guarding Your Family Physically
Protection also means keeping your children safe from physical harm. This starts with being present and proactive—we will teach you how to guard your home from intruders and what to do to defend your home should an intruder gain access. FYR Team will also equip you to teach your family what to do any intruder situation.
Training for Real-World Threats
Beyond predators, your kids need practical tools to handle emergencies like abduction attempts or intruders at home. These lessons, combined with your spiritual leadership, give your children confidence and security. Like David in Scripture, even if you’ve missed the mark before, God can redeem your efforts. Start now by attending a FYR Team Experience to learn how to take intentional steps to guard your family spiritually and physically, and you’ll strengthen their safety and faith for life.
This world needs you to rise up and be the man God created you to be — and to
